Through the Time Machine

Through the Time Machine

My class and I just met a ton of Famous Floridians. In this blog I will share what I learned with you.
All the Famous Floridians came, and told my class and all the other Famous Floridians interesting facts about themselves. Here are some Famous Floridians that came: Henry B. Plant, Thomas A. Edison, and Mary McLeod Bethune. Henry B. Plant built railroads, and hotels, but he was part of a steamboat company. Thomas A. Edison invented the light bulb, Telegraph, Phonograph, the Movie Camera, and many more. Thomas Edison created over 1,000 useful inventions. Mary McLeod Bethune built a school for African American girls, and built a college for African American girls and boys. Mary teamed up with another school and made a college called ‘Bethune Cookman College.’
I think the convention was really fun and I had a great time because I got to meet a bunch of different Famous Floridians. I think Henry B. Plant contributed more than Henry M. Flagler because Plant made railroads, hotels, and steamboats. I think Mary McLeod Bethune helped African American girls a lot, and she helped African American boys a lot (African American people,) because she made a school for African Americans, and not a lot of African American girls got a lot of teaching, and she helped African American people a lot because she made a college for them.
