Big Party for Hard Workers

BIG PARTY FOR HARD WORKERS:

Today I am writing a blog about a Famous Floridian Convention in Windermere, Florida. The Floridians have come back from the dead. These people include…… Walt Disney, Henry Flagler, Alfred du Pont and more!!!!

         In the convention many different Floridians came to talk about their contributions to Florida. Mary McLeod Bethune still looked like she was in her forties. In her speech she talked about her experiences as a teacher. I also loved how Walt Disney talked about producing movies. Walt Disney had as much words in his project as awards. I also liked Edward Ball’s words. Did anyone know he bought two million acres of land and four thousand more surrounding Wakulla Spring.

         I think the most important invention was Thomas Edison’s light bulb. It would never be the same without the light bulb. At night we would have had to use candles and that isn’t half as good as the light bulb. Most people used a candle back then (1800’s – 1900’s), which only lit up a tiny space. It could also catch fire or burn you. The convention was one of the most fun times at school, the Floridians would agree.
